Todd Johnson: unknown
Chris adams: 612-555-4112 ?Postion applying for: manager
There are quite a few things wrong with this resume. Here are some of the basic things to change:
- Address: do not abbreviate.
- Phone number: make sure you have one
- Date: spell out the month, make it look professional
- Employment: I am sure he could have wrote a better job description than this
- Employment date: Use exact dates if it works in your favor. If you were continuously employed use this to your advantage
- Education: Even if your only educational background is high school use the date you graduated and the name of your school
- Do not list education you don’t have: this is not needed
- Reference: have phone number for all people on your reference list and make sure that it is a good working number for them
- Position applying for: this should be on your cover letter not your resume
- Capitalization: Use it when appropriate
- Punctuation: Use punctuation when appropriate
- Spell check: always, always spell check your resume
If you avoid these resume mistakes, your chances of getting the position greatly improve.
