Another important tip when searching for a job, is to find out how long they keep resumes on file. Some companies keep them until the position is filled or others may keep them as long as 90 days. Let you self be known anyway that you can.
Other ways to search for a job is through family and friends. A lot of jobs are filled by referrals. Let your family and friends are aware that you are looking for employment. Make sure to use their name when you contact that employer or even if you send in a resume. Companies trust the employees they have working there and known that they would not refer someone who is not good for the company.
Employment agencies can help you locate jobs in your field. This is a good way to get your name and body into a company. Just be cautious if a company is only looking for a temporary employee to help fill their busy times.
When you search for a job, all you have to do is remember that this is going to be hard work but very well worth the while especially if you happen to find that dream job!
