Work From Home Jobs
I had been working at an office for over 14 years. I got sucked into the office politics, I hated commuting, and I didn’t particularly care for most of the people I worked with. I had to wake up early, dress up, pack a lunch and pretend to be friendly all day long.
My father and both of my sisters work from home. My dad is an internet marketer, my sister is a realtor and my other sister writes for a scrapbooking magazine. I’ve always been jealous of their work at home jobs. I never thought I’d find one.
Luck would have it, I landed a work at home job. It was for a new internet company, building blogs for realtors. Pay was great, the hours were whenever I wanted to work. All I need is my phone, internet connection, laptop, and commitment to the company.
Working from home has been great. No more commuting. I’m saving a ton of money on gas. I love the work that I do and I don’t have to deal with the icky office politics anymore.
There are some downsides to working from home. Sometimes it gets a little lonely. Sometimes I feel like a shut in. Plus it is hard to stay focused sometimes, with pets, phone calls and the tv. Not too mention there’s the housework. It’s hard not to want to do those dirty dishes or laundry during down time.
Be careful when looking for a work from home job, there are quite a few scams out there. They are not always what they seem. Make sure you do your research before taking that dream work from home job.
Working from home is not for everyone. Make sure you give some serious thought before you take that work from home job.
